Pre-group Session – Group orientation. Also, I’ll talk about how we all, at times, can go from feeling emotional steadiness but switch into challenging and reactive feeling states. Understanding that process illuminates why mindfulness practice clearly makes sense as a helpful way through the tough times – and through all of life.

8 Group Sessions – The focus in each session will be on the actual practice of mindfulness meditation with some processing, education, and discussion about meditation as well as feelings, thoughts, and behaviours. As the program progresses, we increasingly address how to be in difficult situations and emotions in a new and more skillful way.

  • Typically 6-9 participants
  • Daily home practice – 40-60 minutes/day, required to support this new way of being, though the duration of the program
  • Meditation audios and handouts are provided
  • $975 for the full program – covered by most extended health benefit plans or may be eligible as a medical expense on your income tax, if you qualify.
  • 30-45 minute interview – (before the group begins)
